Meet the minds shaping the future of Skyland Groups.

Dato’ Sri S.Krishnan Sinnaiyah, the backbone of Skyland Groups, is the visionary leader who founded the company and serves as its Managing Director. With a wealth of experience and determination, Dato’ Sri S.Krishnan started his entrepreneurial journey alone, eventually being joined by his wife, Datin Sri Y.Tamilchelvi Yellappen, who became his business partner.

With a decade-long experience as a Manager at PSA (Port Authority of Singapore) in Tanjung Pagar, he transitioned into entrepreneurship in 1996, initially focusing on supplying local workers to manufacturing companies. Starting with only two vans, he and his wife personally drove workers to factories, steadily growing their business. Through hard work and dedication, they expanded their fleet of vans and grew their transportation services, building strong relationships with local factories.

In 2006, he took the next significant step in expanding Skyland Group by introducing foreign worker supply to local companies. Under his leadership, the business continued to thrive and expand its core operations. From 2006 to 2016, he also served as the General Manager for the Johor branch of Niat Murni Sdn Bhd, specializing in the outsourcing of foreign workers.

Soon or later, Dato’ Sri S.Krishnan took the boldest step of his life by investing in a factory to grow his manufacturing business. After much struggle over five years, he successfully managed to carve out a strong place in the market, solidifying his company’s position for long-term growth.

Proving that age is no barrier to success, he pursued and completed his Master’s in Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship at the age of 48, further strengthening his leadership skills and business acumen. His commitment to hard work, smart decision-making, excellent entrepreneurship skills and continuous improvement has been instrumental in Skyland Groups’ continued success.

Dato’ Sri S. Krishnan’s contributions extend beyond his professional role. Being recognized with the prestigious title of Dato’ Sri for excellence in business and contributions to society, he has actively used his platform to give back to the community, supporting Tamil schools development, educational initiatives, and temple activities within the Indian Community and multiple NGOs. He has also made consistent yearly contributions to retired police personnel, SKUAD 69 PDRM, and the Marine Customs unit, positively impacting countless lives. In 2024, he joined Persatuan Dewan Perniagaan Datuk Dato’ Malaysia, further strengthening his commitment to business leadership and community service. Today, he remains a symbol of determination and an enduring source of encouragement for his staff and employees, setting a remarkable example for future generations to follow.
